Fran's Family Fund

Frances Elizabeth Kay (Fran) is a single friend fighting breast cancer over the last two years. She is not frivolous or fancy, just friendly and all about her family. Fran’s entire world revolves around her five wonderful children, and all of her time and resources have been spent caring for them and supporting their school and sports activities. Friends around her small town of Newburg, MO love this family and have helped in many ways, though she never asks. But she worries about the children’s near future-- if she can’t provide for them-- at least until they are old enough to provide for themselves.

Fran’s Family Fund is now set up by her friends on GoFundMe to be a safe and easy place to collect funds for those children, and give Fran some peace of mind. We set an ambitious goal of $20k per child to help with their expenses and education.

We will administer and distribute the fund equally among the children. We may leave this fund open for future contributions, but right now is the best time to help this family that has been through so much. You can see a current fund total any time, and when we decide to close and distribute the fund, you will see the amount sent to each of Fran's kids. The site keeps just under 7.9% for their hosting service, so the kids get all of the 92.1% to share. Why not aim high? If we don't meet the goal, they will be very happy with whatever they get.
