The Frost Bowl 719 Fight

The Frost Bowl 719 was a private, membership only cannabis party event planned for the 30th and 31st of January 2016. The event was going off without a hitch early Saturday afternoon. Everyone was enjoying their freedom, facilitated by Colorado voters with the implementation of Amendment 64 of the State Constitution. At or around 2:30 PM, the Pueblo Police Department (PPD) barged into the private party with no warrant or other authority to do so. They preceded to intimidate and harass ticket holders, sponsors of the event, and the people whom were running The Frost Bowl 719.
The tactics of the PPD were acts of social terrorism at the least. The City of Pueblo has now formally charged Terry Behrman with ten counts of municipal charges, ranging from permit and license violations to distribution with remuneration. However, there were absolutely no sales at the event and the purchase of a ticket got you in to enjoy the live music planned for the weekend and, depending on which type of ticket purchased, a swag bag with over $150 worth of non-cannabis products. These charges are bogus and just lying down and pleading guilty to get a minor slap on the wrist would be very counterproductive to all of the work the cannabis community has exerted over the better part of a century.
We have decided to fight the ten charges against Terry and take the case to court. Going to trial can be a lengthy, costly process. It will take at least $10,000 to win this battle. We are not only wanting to raise the capital to keep Terry from paying $10,000 in fines and/or spend 10 years in prison, but also to fight for our right to gather and enjoy the miracle organism we call cannabis with our friends and family.
