I need urgent and necessary repairs to my car that I can't do without. Please help.
Since being made redundant in 2012 I have only been able to gain a school crossing patrol job from amongst the hundreds and hundreds that I have applied for. This jobs brings me £204 p.c.m but as its 4 miles away and I need to travel there and back twice a day a lot of my salary is spent on petrol, road tax and car insurance. Public transport, in the sahpe of buses, are not a viable option due to both frequency, routes and (of course) cost (this is a semi-rural route). I need this car, not just for the job but for getting out of my village for any reason, including attending job interviews (and I've been many places in the country to do that) and volunteering.
The car - a Rover 75 - has both failed its MOT and needs its turbo replacing. Kenyons Garage in Wednesfield, who I have used for a while although it means travelling in from where I know live, need £804 for the work. For confirmation please feel free to speak to Jess at Kenyons http://www.kenyonsgarage.co.uk/
