The Circle of Horses is a non-profit, community based equine assisted program that offers an alternative modality to individuals with physical, emotional or cognitive disabilities, and others that would benefit.
The program utilizes two types of instructors. One is a PATH Intl. certified therapeutic riding instructor, and the other is a trained equine (horse) that is responsive to our participants. Our volunteers also work hard encouraging and supporting our participants.
The program creates an environment that allows individuals to interact with volunteers from the community. A key outcome and success measure of this program is improved day-to-day communication skills of the participants (listening and speaking) achieved through improved concentration, patience, confidence and self-esteem. Other benefits include: improved coordination, body strength, and balance.
Program participants include adults as well as children. Veterans and seniors citizens are welcome.
