Fundraiser For Ian Frank

Ian Frank, a disabled United States Marine Corps Veteran, decided to completely change his career course from commercial photography and video editing to one of service to others through photojournalism and documentary photography.

This massive shift happened while his eldest son, Tyler, was receiving chemotherapy for brain cancer.

He watched his youngest son, who stood by his brother's bedside and refused to move so Ian decided to capture it (defining image can be found in "Cancer Sucks").  It was at this moment that he decided to give it all up and live a life committed to serving others, and Third Eye Journey  was born.  Two days before Tyler passed, he gave Ian his camera and asked him to continue his work after he was gone. 

Ian feels his experiences have given him a sense of purpose after serving in the military, as well as giving him second chance at life so he can make a difference in the world through his photography.

Born in New York and raised between New York and New Orleans, he also feels that he has seen too much that plagues society not to mention the ills of the world while on active duty.  Ian often states:

"Everything and everyone has a story and it should be captured and shared with the world. I have wasted a lot of time destroying things and now it is time to create and as this new chapter in my life begins, i've realized for years i have carried a weapon that was designed to kill, now I carry a weapon that helps".

Ian vows to help others and be a voice for the voiceless until he takes his last breath.

When the KKK descended on Charlottesville brandishing torches and protesting the city’s plans to tear down Confederate monuments, Ian was there, documenting the violent clashes that ensued.

He put his life at risk to do that.

And now he's about to do it again.

Ian needs our support for travel, lodging and a ballistics vest that will set him back hundreds of dollars.
