My name is Salina Begaye, I'm raising money for my sister Genevieve Blackwater, who passed away on March 5, 2017. The money raised will be used for her funeral and memorial expenses here in Salt Lake City, Utah.
My sister was a beautiful person, who is far from home and she was here seeking medical treatment.
My sister loved to read, cook (she made some wonderful golden frybread) and clean. She was kind to animals and had a sweet, quick wit that always made me smile. She could be a joy to be around and because of that she had many friends who will also miss her dearly. She loved to stay active and she always enjoyed the outdoors. Since we were little we have always been close. So I will miss my sister everyday and think of her and all the good memories we had, like losing the sheep while we were herding them.
This would mean so much to me because I would like to keep my sister close to me.
She was my sister and my friend.
I would be forever grateful for any help that you all could give and would think of it as a great act of mankind. This will be one of those things that when you look back at this situation you'll realize how truly awful it was and yet how it truly awesome the spirit of mankind could be.
Thank you,
Salina Begaye
