On Thanksgiving of 2012, my friend, Sean Sumner passed away suddenly. He was a man whose friendship I cherished, trusted, and loved. Meeting Sean as a freshman in high school we had been friends for nearly half of my life. The overwhelming contagiousness of his energy was only matched by his laughter. There was never a moment I questioned his character, charisma, or genuine kindness.
Due to familial requests and an ongoing investigation resulting from Sean’s death, we the friends of Sean have postponed developing a foundation in his honor until now.
'Friends of Sean Foundation' will be a Nonprofit Organization created to help relieve the financial burden and stress on the families of victims of unexpected deaths to recent graduates or current students. Our initial focus is to assist with funeral costs and student loans, often not forgiven after an unexpected death.
Your donation will help us finalize our application to obtain our 501(c)(3) exemption in addition to kick starting our fundraising efforts for the new NPO.
