First ever Serbian lacrosse team

Five years have passed since the arrival of lacrosse in Serbia, and it has made a great impact on the many who have picked up the game. The growth of the game in Serbia has progressed and enabled the players to take part in more organized formats, most notably the Central European Lacrosse League. The top team in Serbia, the Belgrade Zombies, not only host the annual “Zombie Cup” for regional participating teams, they have also been recognized by LaxAllstars.com with a “Game Grower of the Month” post dated back to February 2013.
The mission of the Serbian Lacrosse Team is to build a foundation for the game to grow within Serbia and the Balkans. Being the newest sport to hit Eastern Europe, all of the surrounding participating countries have come together to compete against one another to ensure the progression of the sport. Differences aside, the love of the game has brought people from different backgrounds together, building on the importance of sportsmanship and friendship.
This brings up to the purpose of this fundraiser; the Serbian Lacrosse Club needs your help to raise money to bring us to the 2015 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship! Through multiple years of strenuous practices and regional tournaments full of blood and sweat, the Serbian Lacrosse Club has earned its eligibility for participation in the FIL’s tournament, but getting there is the hard part. The funds raised through this campaign will solely go to the purpose of getting the Serbian Lacrosse Club to New York, and ensuring the availability of the safest equipment for our athletes. Competing against teams from around the globe, this is Serbia’s chance to show the world what our country is made of in yet another sport! Ziveli!
