Incubadora Venezolana de la Ciencia

We are a group of doctors, medical students and research scientists conducting scientific research on mosquito-transmitted viruses in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. 

We are currently building a laboratory for providing diagnostic services in Barquisimeto and the surrounding region. 

We came together in February 2016 during the height of the Zika virus epidemic in Venezuela. Our work has focused on elucidating the factors that affect the transmission and maintenance of Zika and other infectious diseases in Barquisimeto, Venezuela.
