Please help us provide the urgent medical care Buddy needs to live. Buddy is a 5 year old pit bull who is loving and gentle. The owner and Buddy are victims of domestic vilolence. The perpetrator recently went to prison.
My name is Lisa Mitchell. I volunteer in animal rescue in Charleston, WV. I received a call today from a lady who is desperate to find medical help for her dog "Buddy".
Buddy became ill several months ago. He has been to the vet several times and provided care to "sustain" him. Those medicines are now gone and he has steadily declined in heath over the last few weeks. He throws up everything he eats or drinks, is dehydrated, underweight and weak.
The veterinarian cannot determine what is wrong with him without performing tests that the owner cannot afford. Buddy also needs immediate medical care for his dehydration and weakness from the effects of his illness. He is very thin as he can't keep his food down. The owner cannot afford these expenses. The pictures tell the story. She can afford to feed him and regular veterinary care.
The owner loves Buddy and in the middle of her own struggles has tried on her own to get Buddy the medical attention he deserves. But the results were short term, she has no money and Buddy is literally dying in front of her eyes. She and I will be eternally grateful if you can find it in your hearts to help this poor soul live. ALL proceeds will go toward Buddy's medical care. Receipts of his care, updates and pictures will be posted. I can provide personal references for my integrity in the handling of the funds. Please help us save Buddy.
