In memory of Connor Betts

I am running the Hartford marathon in memory of my cousin Connor Betts who died in a tragic accident at work on February 19, 2014. While Connor was NOT a runner, the idea of this marathon contributes to what Connor’s life has taught me. He accomplished so much by 22 yrs old with his determination, work ethic, and passion for what he did. If you want to do something- you simply need to do it! There is absolutely no time but the present and every single day is a gift. While Connor's passing left a hole in our hearts, with an army of aunts, uncles, and cousins we have become closer from this event as we remember how important family is and that life is fleeting. The least I can do is raise some money for a great cause that will leave Connor’s name on something he always loved- Football. The proceeds will go directly to the Jets youth football program in Suffield, CT. This cause will remind me why I am doing this marathon and keep one foot in front of the other in training and at the race. Please contribute towards this scholarship in the name of my cousin Connor Betts!!!
