Galway Baybes Race Around Ireland
Donation protected
The Galway Baybes are 4 amateur cyclists based in Galway, Ireland who will compete in Europe's toughest Ultra Cycling Marathon event the 2,150km Race Around Ireland starting on Sunday August 27th in Trim Co. Meath.
Marie, Karen, Bríd & Joanne have been training hard for the past nine months. With their focus firmly on getting to the finish line, they have also set themselves the difficult target of completing the distance whilst doing so in record time.
To break the race record for the fastest females to ever complete the 2,150km race they will need to finish in less than 91 hours & 23 minutes, an ambitious task with 23,000m of climbing along the route, the equivalent of summiting Croagh Patrick 30 times.
With 11 crew members and 3 vehicles in tow the costs continue to mount for the event. We have received lots of support to date but are still in need of some additional funding. Help us reach our racing goal by donating to our team fund.
Every pedal stroke, every metre of road covered, every twist & turn in the road, uphill, downhill, headwind, crosswind tailwind, your support will help us to make it through. This is going to be one hell of an adventure.
