Support Gavin Prince Battle Cancer
Donation protected
On April 13th, 2016, the Prince Family brought their 7 year old son Gavin Prince into an Urgent Care for frequent vomiting and headaches. After blood work and a CT scan, they were told he had a 4x4x4cm mass below his cerebellum and needed to be admitted to a local Children's Hospital for further treament. Shortly after being admitted, Stephanie and Jeff were told that Gavin would need surgery as soon as possible due to a brain tumor. Two days later, Gavin endured a 4-1/2 hour surgery to remove the tumor. The biopsy results comfirm that it is Medulloblastoma (a very high risk cancerous tumor). In the following days, Gavin has been able to open his eyes, speak a few words at a time, and start motor skills therapy. They are unsure of his release at this time, because of fluctuations in his cranial pressure and whether he will require a permanent shunt.
The Prince family has endured a constant struggle to balance returning to work, watching over Gavin and caring for Brendan, their other 5 year old son. They have a long road ahead of them with therapy and future chemo and raditation treatments. Financially this is no small bill with weeks in the ICU, countless MRIs and CT scans, and time off work. The Prince family needs our help. If possible, please contribute with your support and prayers to alleviate these pressures.
