You know what's fantastic? Being given the opportunity to give a talk about what it's like toIs not being able to make ends meet in order to do it. 
My talk is important to help erase the stigma around adoption and its benefits but also make people aware of how it affects the adoptee. 

The talk:


The talk covers the idea of adoption and how that went down for me, but also how it affected my self-image and how that affected my art. 

As someone who doesn't know anyone who is adopted and also ethnically disparate from their parents, I thought the talk would be paramount to other adoptees out there considering art. 

Unfortunately, GaymerX doesn't have the funds to pay for all of their speakers to go down. And ultimately, I may end up declining if I can't make ends meet. 

I have pretty rough medical issues as well, so having to cover medical expenses while I'm down there would be impossible. I would rather also travel with someone that knows what's wrong and would be able to help me should the need arise. 

I'm asking for help to get down, (which I can mostly cover, tho uncomfortably given the proximity to Christmas), and some money for travel insurance. If possible to help someone come with me. 


Is where the flights currently stand to get to San Jose! Obviously there are slightly cheaper options, but the mountain is still pretty high to get over. 

I also have really bad ears, from an infection I had as an infant - and unfortunately several take offs and landings can debilitate me for days after arriving at my destination. 
I would love to be able to take a non-stop flight to San Jose, but I know aksing for that is fairly unreasonable, however being able to hear upon landing would be incredible. 

What I would like to have covered with this campaign is: 

-Flights for two, myself and my best friend who knows my dietary and medical needs. 
-Somewhere cheap for us to stay for a few days! 

I can cover the food, and transport while I'm there!
