Get Triceratops sailing again!

Our team of four brave souls competed in this year's Race to Alaska (aka "the Iditarod on The Water", aka "The America's Cup for Dirtbags"). The only two rules to the race are no motors and no support to traverse 750-miles of treacherous and beautiful wilderness. Our team became an underdog favorite and surprised many in the first half of the race by beating the odds and contending for the lead. Disaster struck when four-hundred miles into the race, and a LONG way from help, we sheared off our rudder. Suddenly, an epic adventure became an epic race to save "Triceratops", find safe harbor, and figure out a way to still get to Alaska. Through the kindness of strangers, a healthy dose of grit, resourcefulness, plywood, and fiberglass, and buoyed by an outpouring of support we built a new rudder in the middle of the Pacific Northwest Frontier. Three days later we still completed the race in 11th place.
Our team was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support when disaster struck. With your help over the next year we hope to complete permanent repairs and return to the race to reward all the support with a victorious second attempt.
This race stands as a beacon lit by the indomitable human spirit. Proof that we are all capable of more than we ever thought possible. While being tested to the core and surrounded by mother nature in her most pure form, vast unforgiving power and serene indifference, a sense of wonder seeps into every pore. If wonder breeds humility, and humility breeds morality, then the Race to Alaska may just save us all.
Let's all get there together.
