Rescue The Rescues And Rescuer

Donation protected

Update:  Between what I've been able to come up with, and your generosity, I'm now down to only needing $130 more to get the rent taken care of.  The past electric, which was scheduled to be disconnected today, was paid off this morning, thanks to you all.  Just in time.

To those of you who have donated:  You all are wonderful, thank you so much for helping. Almost to the first goal thanks to all of you.

Hi.  Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read my story.

I worked for a large company, worked very hard, sometimes up to 70 hours a week.  Our little group did a great job, and never saw it coming.  We all got laid off at Christmas time a year ago when our jobs were shipped overseas.  Since then, I've been struggling to get back in to the working world to be productive and get on with life.

In the last year, I have sold almost everything that I own to make ends meet.  Recycled anything that I could find. I have taken on side gigs, done some freelance work, whatever I could find to keep my rescued animals and myself from being homeless.  I've done a lot to stay afloat, but I'm running out of options.

I have about a week and we will lose.  Big.  We will be homeless.  The animals that I rescued before I was laid off, (the 2 dogs in the pic are the 2 I have kept out of all of the animals I have ever rescued), will lose their home, and I will lose them after raising them from pups.  We will lose everything I have left as I have nowhere for us to go.  It's down to the wire, and I am here, swallowing my pride to ask for help.

What I need:  I need $351 right now that I'm behind in rent just to keep from being evicted.  After that, I also owe another $99, but the $351 will keep the evication at bay for now.  I also would like to have some help on the electric that I'm behind on which is $162.  If I can get even at least that, I'll be okay for a month.

To be able to find more opportunities for work, I need my car fixed.  Right now, the battery is dead.  I can't afford even a battery right now, so I need help with that.  I will then need to have the issue that is going on in the right back passenger side fixed - it grinds when I turn.  I talked to a mechanic and an over the phone general quote was $400.  It may be more, it may be less.  I also need $450 for the engine mounts, direct quote from mechanic.  From there, I need $60 for the emissions test, $168 for the registration, and then I can finally expand my search for work.  I have a few places in mind that I could easily apply to if I knew that I had a way to get there.

I've estimated that with back rent, other overdue bills, getting the car taken care of, and a little extra to buy work clothes because I WILL get a job if I can get help getting this all taken care of, it will be around $2000 - 2500 total.  That's all.  I don't need anything else.

If you are able to help, no matter the amount, I would be so grateful, and thank you, immensely.  If you can't help right now, trust me, I understand.  Maybe you can share this if you know someone who can.

Thank you again for stopping by and reading this.  Have a great day.

Edit:  I've been informed that I need to make a few things clearer.

The 2 dogs you see are dogs that I rescued when they were thrown in to heavy traffic at only 3 months old by someone.  I just happened to be in the right place at the right time, and was able to get them out of that situation.  I don't have a house full of rescues, just these 2 dogs.

Other animals that I've rescued over the years, I was able to get adopted out at the time, or very shortly after I rescued them.  Black dogs are difficult to adopt because a lot of people have superstitions about black furred animals.  When I could not find a home for them, even with the help of actual rescue organizations, I opted to keep them.

The rescue of these dogs happened before I got laid off.   If I lose where I live, they end up in a shelter - and considering how they were treated in their first 3 months of life, I'd like to prevent that.

The car does need to be repaired.  If it's repaired, it enables me to expand the area that I can get work.  The car has nothing to do with rescuing, it's my personal vehicle that I can use to get to/from work, and again, allows me to search further out for work, which greatly ups my chances of finding good, solid work.

I hope this clears up any questions.   Thank you.
