Get Well Baba❤

On March of 2019, Baba Koa Merino was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer. With more test done, his cancer has spread to his lung and brain. He is at Stage 3 and is currently going through Chemotherapy to fight this disease. We all know Baba to have a true fighters spirit, good family values and upbringing, strong Mana! A 2003 Graduate of Kamehameha Schools, 2008 UH Bachelor Degree, 2010 Masters in Education, Hawaiian Studies and Hawaiian Language at UH Manoa. He was an Olelo Hawaiian Language teacher at Anuenue and Kamehameha and currently Life Guard with the City & County for the past 15yrs.
A group of us, some of his close friends wanted to start a "Go Fund Me" page for him and to help with the climbing medical bills he and his wife will have to go through. Baba has been a first responder for almost half his life and he comes from a long line of first responders in his Ohana. It is now time for us to be there for him, to first respond at his time of need.
Baba is going through his toughest battle, competition or whatever you want to call it in his life and we all know he always comes out on top and victorious. So let's show our support to the Merino Ohana and give what you can. He put his life on the line everyday when he slips into those "Red Shorts" and believe me when I say, we want him in that chair to stand guard to watch over our Ohana, our keiki having fun at our beautiful beaches.
