Get Jalil out of Afghanistan

Jalil and I became friends while I was deployed to Afghanistan from January until September 2012. His company lost their contract to provide iInterpreters to US forces that July. When Jalil returned home, he was almost immediately discovered by the Taliban. For working with the US and against the Taliban’s beliefs, he was run out of his home and now has a bounty on his head at $50,000. Jalil has been on the run since his return to his hometown and everyday lives in fear for his life and his future.

Jalil and the many men like him selflessly risked his life on many occasions to protect American soldiers like me and the men I served with. I cannot tell you enough about the good work he has done and what a patriot he is as he works to help build a better Afghanistan for the future generations. While he had enough heart and pride to work for his country, he also believed in the promises the US and other forces provided when it came to certain protections.

Why this GoFundMe? Jalil needs to get out of Afghanistan as quickly as possible. While the State Department does have a special program to provide Visas to Iraq/Afghan nationals who have worked for the US under these types of circumstances, Jalil and I have gotten zero results in getting his application processed.
