Gilliam Family Adoption

Donation protected
Hello!  We are the Gilliam family:  Drew, Andrea, and crew.

God has tremendously blessed our lives with three wonderful children, and we have prayerfully considered expanding our family for some time.  A particular burden that God has placed on our hearts for most of our marriage is the reality of orphans all around the world.  We recently felt the timing was right, and have started to pursue the calling and blessing of adoption.

We were once spiritual orphans, dead in our sins, guilty according to God's Word.  God opened our eyes to the just wrath we deserved, and called us to repentance.  By grace alone, through faith in Christ alone,  a holy and loving Creator adopted us into His eternal family!  God came in the flesh by sending His Son as a sacrifice for our sins, in whom we have trusted as our Savior.  Through the perfect life, death, and resurrection of Jesus we have been reconciled to God, and have been granted the gift of forgiveness and salvation!  What an amazing grace!  With truly humbled and grateful hearts, we are taking this step of faith to adopt a child from South Korea, and give an orphan a loving,  forever family.

Our home study report has been completed and has been sent to South Korea.  We are incredibly excited, and now wait patiently for the next couple of months for our child's referral!  At that point, we will continue the paperwork process and eventually travel to appear in Korean court and meet our new son or daughter!  Lord willing, approximately one month after our court date, we will get to bring our child home!  All of the adoption and travel fees are expected to cost approximately $40,000.  We plan to meet this need through our personal savings, potential grants, as well as any gracious donations that we may possibly receive through various fundraising efforts.

We praise the Lord for His provisions thus far and trust that He will provide the necessary people and support as He sees fit.  If you feel led to help bring this precious child home, we would be tremendously honored and thankful.  Here are a couple of ways you can be a part of this process:

1.  First and foremost, we need prayer.  Would you please pray for our family as we embark on this exciting yet uncertain journey?    We covet your prayers for our child in South Korea, for the people taking care of him or her, and for our travels bringing our son or daughter home.  We would also appreciate your continued prayers through the bonding process, and the transition that lies ahead for our family.

2.  You can also financially support our adoption.  Please do not feel pressure or obligation whatsoever!  We pray that any monetary donation would be given with a cheerful heart and a genuine desire to help bring home this child of God.

We would love to discuss the details of our adoption further, or answer any specific questions you may have, so please don't hesitate to contact us.

Ultimately, we pray that God would be glorified throughout this process!  We are excited to bring our child home together as friends, family, brothers and sisters in Christ, neighbors, coworkers, and even those we may not know!  We are forever thankful for your love, prayers, and support, and look forward to experiencing this amazing blessing alongside you!

"We love because He first loved us."
