Ginger & Donor Kidney Transplant
Donation protected
I am a nurse at the Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital Family Birth Center. I am also a wife and mother of two. Nine years ago I found out I had a kidney issue and was diagnosed with mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis. I am now in need of a kidney transplant and am looking for a live donor. This is the best option because live donor organs last longer and the transplant is typically more successful.
Approximately six of my colleagues (nurses and physicians) in the Family Birth Center, as well as other family and friends, have volunteered to find out if they are a match for me.
The funds I raise here will help pay for incidental costs of the transplant for the donor and I while in Seattle. These are non-medical, costs of daily living such as time off work, daycare, hotel, gas, food, and other expenses. After the transplant, I will have to stay in Seattle for one to two months for recovery and hospital appointments.
I am very grateful for all the support and love I have recieved so far! Your donations are SO appreciated as are your prayers. At this point in my journey, I could be called at any day or time to be notified that a kidney is ready for me. I am ready to go and I appreciate your kindness and support to see me through.
If your interested in getting checked to be a potential donor you can contact Virginia Mason Hospital Kidney donor line at:
206-341-1201 or toll free at [phone redacted].
Words can’t express my gratitude. Thank you to everyone for the beautiful comments, prayers, donations and support. My family and I are forever grateful!!!
