Mai Xiong's Family - House fire

Donation protected
Hello friends and family.

Around 6am on March 30th, there was a fire at my mom's house.  Luckily, they all managed to escape safely along with their dog.   After the fire was put out, they were able to re-enter and salvage what was not burnt like clothes and blankets. However, because of the heavy smokes and residues, they were unusable.  Many of the priceless items to our culture and items my mom had since she immigrated to America are now gone.  Family pictures hanging on the wall have melted, scrapbooks and valuable possessions lost in debris.  My mom's room was hit the hardest, so she lost almost everything.

My brother also just had emergency surgery a few weeks ago and displaced from work until fully recovered.  Already worried with how to pay the medical bills piling up, this happened soon after.

With no rental insurance, they lost everything, and have no idea of how to start over.  All furniture, food, electronics, toys, games, and pictures was lost in the fire.  My mother has already had to start a new life when she took her children to America in 1992.  Once again she has been forced to start all over again.  I know with the generosity of everyone, we can help her have a much smoother process this time, at least enough to get her and her family back on their feet.

The Red Cross have helped them with immediate supplies such as used clothing, hygienic and cosmetics, and some food.  They are currently now resting at my home until they can find a new house to call home.

The money raised through this fundraiser will first be used to buy new clothes, shoes, blankets and pillows, and other items that they need right now.  Then it will be needed for making a deposit on the new house, buying furniture, kitchenware, etc.  These are what's at the top of their list and what they need help with the most.

We are also accepting donations of new and unused items mentioned above, as well as any other items you might think a regular household might need and use on a daily basis.  They have lost so much, so anything at all will be greatly appreciated.

So friends and family please help me help them recover from this tragedy.
If there are any questions at all, please feel free to contact me at anytime.  Thank you so much for reading.
