Support Our Efforts in TX & Puerto Rico 2020

Dear Friends of Global-7:
Thank you for visiting our Gofundme page. Our group is comprised of seven high school women from the greater Sacramento, CA area. We are committed to making a change in impoverished and underserved communities. Our fundraising efforts will provide the ability to help purchase basic needs for young children and families.
Since 2008, G7 has accomplished this within the U.S and in Granada, Nicaragua. In Nicaragua, G7 members constructed a recycling center, fresh water well, modern restroom facilities, and a community center. In July of 2019, G7 traveled to the poorest areas of Puerto Rico and provided medical and school supplies, clothing, food, and monetary donations to an orphanage and Montessori school. G7 members provided activities and interacted with the children at the orphanage, cleaned and repainted the school, and built a permanent greenhouse.
In June 2020, our team will take a week long service trip to San Antonio, Texas. In San Antonio we will be working with children and serving at the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services. We will also be assembling and donating backpacks of food and supplies for the refugee children and families.
In addition to supporting the communities in Texas, G7 will again be supporting Puerto Rico and our city of Sacramento. We will use our raised money to purchase and ship school supplies and clothing to the sites we visited last year in Puerto Rico. This spring we will be volunteering one day at a local non-profit organization, providing activities, supplies, and $1000.00 donation. Last year, we were fortunate to work directly with the children at St. John’s Program for Real Change.
