Here is my story
Abuse in Silence - 

5 years ago Sam France from Foxygen got an unfounded restraining order against me. When handed the restraining order, I read it and thought it was complete BS (everyone who looked at it thought there was no way Sam would win in court). I didn't have enough money for a lawyer and thought it would be unnecessary. When I went to court, I was blown away by the lies Sam had his lawyer accuse me of. His mother even lied and said I tried to break into their house. In reality, I stopped over at his house after an of Montreal concert (a band we toured with) to give him a present. He wasn't home. I left. 

During our tumultuous relationship Sam had been emotional/physically abusive to me many times. I didn't handle it well. I should have called 
the police when he hit me in the mouth because then I would have had a police report on him. Never did I expect him to turn around and say
that I ABUSED HIM. With his money and status, it was easy for him to win in court as he hid behind his attorney.  

Him hitting me in the mouth affected my dental caps (on my front teeth). When I was younger I hit my mouth on a shopping cart and had to have caps replace my front teeth. After the Foxygen tour in 2013 and Sam's blow to my face, I had to get dental IMPLANTS put in that cost over 5k and Sam payed none of it.

The restraining order he got on me was supposed to be over this year   but I just got served another one. Across the country. I had the first day of 2019 with a random guy at my door handing me ANOTHER restraining order for 5 years. 

During these 5 years I have been harassed online by various Twitter accounts and Foxygen fans.  I actually think some of the Twitter accounts are run by Sam and his family. 

I refuse to do this again for another 5 years. In their preposed restraining order, they want me to not be able to talk about what happened to me and consider it slander when I spoke out about abuse in the past.

If we raise this money, I can hire a lawyer and fight Sam France finally on equal footing
