21 days after Tatum turned 6 years old, on September 29th, 2016, Tatum was diagnosed with a rare soft tissue cancer 1 IN A MILLION UNDER THE AGE OF 15YEARS OLD, Aveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma after finding a bump on the calf of her right leg. Tatum was rushed to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. After undergoing weeks of testing, we were given the awful news. We were devastated. After the initial diagnosis, Tatum was referred to an orthopedic surgeon and was scheduled for surgery to remove the tumor or what Tatum calls “a mean bump”. One week later, Tatum began the fight for her life and received the first of 43 weeks of chemo and will be undergoing 4 straight weeks of radiation starting in Feburary. Cancer is the #1 killer of children with only 4% of the National Cancer Institute’s annual budget for research benefiting pediatric cancer research. These families and children struggle, with only hope and faith of the best outcomes. Please help us make a difference in Tatum’s outcome by helping support her and our family as they endeavor this journey. 10 % of funds donated will go to Phoenix Children's Hospital to help other families who have been affected by cancer.
