We love to keep everyone that has supported and prayed for Anthony and his family informed of his progress. Traumatic brain injuries usually takes 2 full years to heal. Among the TBI his physical injuries need some healing time as well. As he would say "I was hit by a car". Anthony still has moutains to climb. Although he has come a long way and hides his injuries very well, he can not return to work as of now for he has much more healing to do, physically from the inside out. He has many struggles that therapy will help with. If he seems to not recognize you or passes you by please do not take insult, his memory needs to heal. Please keep him and his family in your prayers and thank you again for all of your support. Anthony has no idea when the things he struggles with will lessen but he is striving to adjust to his new normal. He is a machine, bull, and miracle and will prevail! As he would put it he is a physical phenomenon!

Anthony's recovery journey!
Anthony was struck by a car on August 30, 2015 and has been on life support In the Neuro Intensive Care Unit in Albany Medical Center located in Upstate New York. Among the many life threatening injuries Anthony has sustanined, he also has a Severe Traumatic Brain Injury. Although he is not "out of the woods" Anthony is making small strides and will hopefully be on the road to recovery soon. He will endure many months or even years of therapy in the hopes of becoming stronger. We do not know what lies ahead for Anthony and his family in the future. Anthony's medical and living expenses in the near future are expected to be astronomical. He has an amazing girlfriend, Rebecca, and two beautiful sons Mason (3) and Vincent (1) who will be enduring every milestone with him. Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Anthony knows that he is one in a milion. He is that boy that offers hugs when needed and even when they're not. Anthony wears his heart on his sleeve. One of Anthony's greatest qualities is his ability to not hold judgement and accepts people for who they are. Please find it in your heart to donate to Anthony & his beautiful family as they walk the long road that is a head of them. Donations do not always come in the form of money; donation of time or service is as appreciated. Some people are in a better position to give than others financially. Prayers and blessings are welcome! Please check back frequently for I will be updating Anthony's progress through his long journey back to health! As always from the family of Anthony Colao, thank you so much for reading his story and sharing his journey.
A benefit will be held for Anthony on September 26th, 2015 at Anthony's Banquet Hall from 5pm-11pm in Leeds NY, Live Music & Food. Please come out and join Family and Friends for a great cause!
