Welcome to the crowdfunding page for Good Hair Cards.com (“GHC”). Hello, my name is Jeanetmarie and I’m glad you came to check out my funding raising campaign.
Briefly, the GHC collection is artwork that celebrates the trend-setting hairstyles Black women make famous. I got the idea to create GHC after two decades of designing salon cards for hairstylists.
GHC made their debut in 2013 at the Black Women’s Expo in Chicago, The Texas Black Expo in Houston, The Natural Hair Show in Atlanta, and Circle of Sisters in New York. Since then, I’ve sold GHC in Harlem, Times Square, Soho, Dumbo as a street vendor as well as in pop up shops from New England to Florida. Folks from around the globe have purchased my cards.
Like most SOLOpreneurs running a small business, I do everything. I do all the drawing, handcrafting, wrapping, shipping, marketing, and direct selling. I have also worked with a local promoter who has handed out 40,000 bookmarks and postcards advertising my brand.
I've spent the last 5 years working hard towards the goal of placing the GHC collection into retail stores, and I am so grateful to all who have purchased my cards and tote bags.
As GHC grows, however, I can no longer do it all alone. I must hire professionals to do the jobs I can’t do. Although I have self-financed my business up until now, I need your help to put Good Hair Cards into the retail market. 100% of your donation will go towards covering the costs of:
· Flyer distribution
· Website upgrade
· SEO professional
· Videographer
· Product photographer
· Voice over artist
