Bryce Astill Emergency Medical Fund
Doação protegida
Bryce Astill is currently in critical condition at Clinica San Pablo, Hueraz Peru. He is suffering from pulmonary edema and pneumonia. Doctors are with him and hoping to stabilize him enough for transport to Lima. His father and sister are on their way but, travel is not fast. Your prayers, good vibes, good energy, healing thoughts, positivity, and love are all appreciated. Also appreciated would be a donation to aid the medical bills and travel expenses.
My name is Jenny Powers. I am orginally from Georgia but moved to Utah to work for the Second Nature Wilderness Therapy Program 8 years ago. While working at Second Nature, I met Bryce and an amazing friendship began. It has been my privilege to call Bryce one of my best friends.
Bryce is the single most authentic human I have ever encountered. He is a power house of positivity and relentless in his determination. Many of you will recognize Bryce from his many 100 mile race finishes and from the crossfit gym but this is just the tip of the community iceberg for Bryce. He also teaches Mind Body Bridging techniques in therapeutic settings, mentors troubled youth and is in general a bright light and full of empathy for everyone he encounters.
Currently, Bryce is alone in Clinica San Pablo. Two of his family members will arrive shortly. Because I cannot hop on a plane this instant to hold Bryce's hand, tell him jokes and be near him, I have created this fund in hopes that I may be able to help from a far. Funds will be used towards travel and the huge medical expenses, which are quickly accruing for Bryce and his family. Communication is very tricky and time intensive for the family as they coordinate the medical plans for Bryce.
Please contribute to this fund to help ease the load and show our care and concern for Bryce and the whole Astill family. All Funds are being managed by Bryce's sister, Aubrey Waldron. Funds are being used specifically to pay for ICU care at San Pablo Clinica and at the Anglo Americana Hosptial as well as medical transport. Because Bryce is in Lima, funds are being withdrawn by Aubrey and directly wired to the clinics above for his care.
Several years ago, I supported Bryce as he ran the Bear Lake 100 Mile Race. I am remembering feeling astounded at the incredible amount of resilience Bryce showed as he ran throughout the night. I am sending him thoughts of that fight today and hoping Bryce will keep being the most stubborn guy I know!
Thank You!
