Gran's Medical Recovery Bills

My husband, Gran Roberts, has been battling Congestive Heart Failure for 8-1/2 years, all while maintaining a full-time job where he tries to do his best, unselfishly puts the needs of our two kids and the family ahead of his own, trying to provide a living to better our kids lives, during a period of time that I know others would take advantage of the system. Gran is trying to live his dream and knows it's not easy due to CHF. He also knows our kids are watching how he handles these struggles and hopes they are learning from this for when they have battles of their own.

Recently, Gran was admitted to the hospital again. A bacteria in his stomach started to affect his lungs, heart, liver and kidneys. His stay involved an emergency transportation to another hospital, defibrillated shock to the system to correct his heart rhythm among near kidney shutdown other caths, pick lines and proding. To say he is our Superman is an understatement. Throughout this 11 day ordeal all he cared about was our family, the kids, not letting his friends down of whom he works for and maintaining his career for the kids. He's as loyal as they come and I know he'd never ask for the help himself. He is a great man, husband, father and friend.

We normally carry a certain amount of medical debt (thousands) from year to year for regular tests/maintaining his condition for almost 9 years. This situation is different. We are looking $20,000 in costs that insurance won't consider and need help. Gran has always been the one to take charge on these matters and I feel it's my turn to try and do this for him. He's not looking for a hand out but a hand up. Any help is appreciated. He's a fighter but now he needs a little help. I'm not expecting to raise all the money we need but I know it's worth a shot.
