GRR Rabbit Roundup spay/neuters
Tax deductible
Georgia rescued rabbits need your help! In January, Gainesville (Florida) Rabbit Rescue received a cry for help from a resident in a small community in Georgia. A colony of domesticated rabbits had been growing in this community. Gainesville Rabbit Rescue (GRR) responded and made several 3-hour one-way trips and caught many of these rabbits. Several pregnant females delivered litters of babies. These babies are undergoing spay/neuters, along with the adult rabbits.(Did you know that rabbit litters average about 8 kits? A female can become pregnant the day she delivers and gestation is 28 days. Rabbits can reproduce when they are 3 months old.) The rescues are kept in an air conditioned barn which is at maximum capacity. We also have volunteer fosterers who keep rescues in their home. Our goal is to find safe indoor homes for our rescues, where they will become a part of the family.
The medical expenses for the rescued rabbits, including spay/neuters and treatment for illness, has stretched our funds as we struggle to feed and house them. Your donations can help us continue our work and ensure that these rabbits gain their health and find a forever home. Every donation will receive an email with a photo of one of our Georgia rabbits.
Gainesville Rabbit Rescue is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions to the Gainesville Rabbit Rescue are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. GRR’s tax identification number is 20-0993241.
The Georgia Rabbits are counting on your help! Please donate whatever you can to help them transition to a happier phase of their lives.
$20 will buy a 50-pound bag of chow. The shelter goes through two bags each week
$35 will buy a bale of hay, which will last two weeks
$50 will provide one day’s treatment for snuffles for 13 rabbits
$55 will spay or neuter a rabbit (There are 50 rabbits that need to be spayed/neutered)
Every donator will receive a picture of one of the Georgia rabbits that were rescued!
