In Memory of Monica Van Laer

Monica Van Laer was brutally taken from us Nov 2nd 2014. This site is not to think about how she left us, but instead to help keep the memory of how amazing Monica is  alive. Monica was a self proclaimed nerd, I mean, a straight up geek. Which is why we all loved her so much.  She did not see boundaries but instead challenges, and she succeeded, no- dominated, at everything she  aspired to do.  One of the biggest contributing factors in molding Monica to be as awesomely nerdy as we all remember her, was the St. Helens Highschool Band and St. Helens Highschool Drama clubs that she was a part of. While participating in these groups she  found her original chosen family. As well as her love her theater, music, and all things " out of the ordinary". Because this time in her life was so dear to her heart, we have asked that instead of gifts or flowers, please make a donation to the SHHS Band and Drama clubs. All proceedes will be split and donated to these programs in Monica's memory. 

Monica is fucking awesome, just a straight up: one in a million, you gotta meet her, take the shirt of her back for anyone kinda girl. We are all so privileged to know that she loved all of us too,  but maybe not as much as we loved her. She has made such an impact on all of us, whether you knew her for a second or a lifetime, her mark has been made. Please help us make an impact for some other kids, ones that grew up dreaming of bigger things, just like Moni. Maybe together that kid could grow up only to be half as cool as Monica L. Van Laer.
