World War Two Vet - Foreclosure

Donation protected

My Father, Guy Ball, is a Veteran of World War Two.  He is one of the soldiers that helped liberate the captives of the Dachau Concentration Camp.

After the war, he worked in a steel mill for 35 years and helped establish a church where he and Mom served as  Sunday School teachers. Dad also drove  dozens of area children to church  serving as a Sunday School bus driver. When church members were sick, Dad visited them. When the church had no pastor, he preached on the radio.

Dad was car pooling with other steel workers when their vehicle was struck by a large truck. This accident took the life of one of dad's friends and permenently disabled my father. He asked to go back to work and was told "There is no job in this company for you". He was forced to retire losing all his benefits. Dad's employer then cut his retirement pay in half while threatening to go bankrupt and leave him with nothing for his years of faithful work.

My father served his country in time of war, then served the members of his church and community. I remember people comming to our house when they had nowhere to stay and my parents giving them money for food to feed their children. In their hour of need the people Dad and Mom helped are nowhere to be found.
After a life of doing the right and honorable thing by all those around him, Dad is weeks away from having the home taken in foreclosure.

*Their home was scheduled to be sold at at the Chester County Pennsylvania Sheriff's Sale on June 15th 2017, however they are now working with bankruptcy trustees and the Veteran's Administration, to restructure their debt and try to keep their home.

Please continue to share this page with your friends. Every contribution increases the chances of Dad and Mom being able to stay in the home they built so many years ago.

Dad is 90 years old now. Please help him and Mom to spend their last few days in the home they built together 46 years ago.

Thank you,

Philip Ball
