Please help me help my Mom

On Nov 3rd, we lost my Dad. It was a hard go, as he was diagnosed this summer with Lung Cancer that spread very rapidly, and there was not much that could done.
It was an exausting fight for him, and my Mom.
Now she has to pick up the pieces and try to move on, but sadly she has been told that she will have a 6 week wait until she hears back from CPP in reguards to her Survivors pay, and I know it's tight for everyone this time of year, but I want to try and see if I can make life a little easier for her in reguards to bills.
Dad always made sure that food was something they were well stocked on, but she still has household expenses to cover, as well as pet supplies to buy, car insurance to figure out and such.
I worry about her, and the fact that she may not have enough to get her by until the government re-establishes payments for her, and I sadly can not do a heck of alot on my own.
I am only going to leave this up for a short time, because with the holiday season around the corner, I don't want to be making anyone feel hardpressed, I just want to see if I can get enough to get her through.
Family and friends that see this that are in contact with her, if I could PLEASE ask you to NOT say anything to Mom about this, I would rather her be surprised when I let her know what we have been able to do.
Thanks you so much everyone.
