Bicycles for children in Israel

I have a dream, it came true this past January with flying colors. Several years ago, I decided to take a course in bicycle mechanics.
I established an organization called bicycles4israel, which aimed to take used bicycles, which were donated by the Toronto Jewish community, repair them if needed, and ship them to Israel. Due to costs and tariffs the plan needed to be tweaked. The new plan was also to repair the bicycles, and sell them locally and give some away to needy local families in Toronto.
Once, as the years came and went, the funds accumulated and it was time to purchase forty (40) new bicycles for children in Tsfat. I contacted my friends to find a good shop that would provide the best deal, and it was found. January this year, I travelled to Israel and and got the project in high gear - on the Israeli side.
A week after I landed, the children of Tsfat had their beautiful, shiny colored new bicycles. The children accepted the bicycles with beaming eyes and wide wide smiles. Needless to say the parents were as pleased as their children and more.
As the day was coming to an end and my tears were drying up, I had to stop and take in all the emotions of the day. After absorbing everything and getting encouragement from friends and locals, I made the decision to continue and bring this to the next level.
I started by having a dream years ago of creating this special experience in Israel. I have a dream to continue once again - this can be done with your help by donating to this project. Please be kind to donate and put great smiles on childrens' faces.
I would like to thank all my friends and new friends who came through to assist me in Toronto and in Israel - their efforts and expertise were much appreciated .
