"Children of Silence"

My name is Travis Tolliver; this is probably the toughest thing I have ever done, because I really don't like asking for help. I am also a very private person and only a handful of people that I trust know of my situation.
For those of you that know me, you know I was adopted from Chile. Well this past year when I turned 40 I decided it was time for me and for my kids to reach out and try and find my biological mother. At first I was a bit nervous so I started by joining a pen pal web site and talking with people from Chile. One of the conversations startled me beyond belief. I found out that babies were stolen from there unwed mothers in the 1960's, 70's, and 80's with a few here and there after the 80's. It is a really big scandal going on in Chile now. This really kick started my need to find my biological mother. I found a FB site Chile Adoption Birth Family Search. I gave them all the information I could find on my adoption. I want to say within 3 to 4 weeks they had found my mother. She was completely shocked of what they told her, because she was told I died of a respiratory infection 3 days after birth. So, my worst thoughts came true and I had been stolen by the nuns who ran the maternity ward all because my mother was not married and her boyfriend, my father, ran out on us. Don't get me wrong I was given to a wonderful couple who had no idea I was stolen from my mother. They were told my mother had too many children and couldn't afford to have another one so she was giving me up for adoption. If this wouldn't have happened I would not have met anyone that is important in my life, I wouldn't have the beautiful kids that I do. It also has been making think what my life could have been if I was not stolen. The photo I have posted is of my family, I have 4 new brothers and 1 new sister, and I am no longer the oldest child, I am the middle child now.
I am on here to ask for help to fly my family to Chile so I can meet my biological mother, brothers and sister. The second reason is to be able to sign paperwork so I can prosecute criminally and file civil judgments against those that decided they could play god and alter my life. I have been trying to give my brother Marco power of attorney but Chile is making it difficult, I think the easiest and best way would be to just go to Chile and handle the paperwork myself, so I know first hand that everything is being handled appropriately. I am asking your help to try and raise 10,000$ the flights cost around 7,000$ plus everyone needs passports and whatever costs to help with our dogs while we are gone and whatever misc. costs while we are in Chile. This is a very important subject. Many, many children have been stolen, the Washington Post has contacted me in wanting to do an interview. I have also met Constanza Del Rio who has just started http://www.nosbuscamos.org/ which helps the victims of stolen babies, child trafficking (parents and children), with the goal of reuniting families, restoring their right to personal identity and establishing this problem as a historical truth in Chile.
