Amanda's Medical Support Fund
My sister-in-law, Amanda, was in a car wreck on Feburary 28th, 2017. She went into the ER with bleeding and swelling on her brain, multiple spine fractures, a broken neck, a broken forearm, multiple facial fractures, and no brain activity. She was moved from the ER into ICU where they gave her around the clock care and frequent CT scans. The bleeding on her brain stopped and her forearm and facial fractures were repaired while she was in the ICU and it was decided that she would only need a full body brace to repair her neck and spine. On March 3rd Amanda had brain activity(yay!), but was declared officially in a coma. She was moved out of the ICU to the Trauma ward on March 10th. Now its only a matter of Amanda waking up and the hospital advised us to move her home and find a home care nurse for her until she wakes up.
Everyone at Breckenridge has been above and beyond. We are so thankful that she has been in a hospital that put so much work into her care (and put up with all of the stressed out family). Unfortunately, high expenses come along with great care. On top of all the bills she has already racked up, a home care nurse is not as affordable as we hoped.
If you're not able to donate, we completely understand. If instead, you could please just share this, so it can reach as many people as possible, in hopes of getting Amanda the care she deserves. We'd really appreciate it. Thank you.
P.S. I am handling all of her finances, because she is unable due to her being in a coma.
