Stop WestCONnex Legal Support Fund

Communities across Sydney have been fighting against the terrible WestCONnex toll road through all legal means available. Disturbingly, our state government refuses to listen and has started to destroy the homes and parks in the way.

We are asking supporters to donate to cover fines and legal costs of people charged while involved in non-violent direct action against westCONnex. All funds collected here will be used by No WestCONnex: Public Transport to cover these costs.

People who have received support from this fund include:

- The 'Haberfield 4' and the 'Ashfield 4': Adrienne Shilling, Paula Rix, Gabrielle Brown, Ruth Townley, Paul Jeffery, Chris Elenor, Bill Holliday and John Hyde.

- Cassi Plate, who locked on to a tree in Beverly Hills defending endangered forest.

- Still awaiting trial, Rozelle Against WestCONnex convenor Peter Hehir was arrested at a test drill site in Rozelle and will receive support from this fund.

- Three protesters were arrested in Holmwood St, Newtown. They have been offered support.

Early in 2017, seven more protesters were arrested defending homes and parkland in Sydney Park and St Peters. We offer them all our support from this fund.
