Update 1 - At this point of the year ( mid-September) , I would guess we are somewhere between 60-70% finished with actual filming.  I have struggled to get another diver in the water with me to get 3rd person underwater video footage.   Also we had a researcher that had previously agreed to give an interview cancel at the last minute. We are hoping to short some more beach footage (not diving) and also some type of interview or information presentation from a Korean researcher or government official. 

지금까지 우리 다큐멘터리 위해 촬영을 60%-70%정도 끝났습니다. 특히는 수중 촬영 원하는데 자기 “POV” 촬영 대신 다른 다이버의 배경을 촬영하고 싶지만 지금까지 다이버 못 찾았습니다. 그리고 어떤 연구원이랑 인터뷰를 예약했지만 그 연구원은 갑자기 최소 했습니다. 앞으로 다른 연구원이나 국가 공무원이랑 인터뷰 원합니다.

We have had the "unofficial" trailer translated to Spanish, Chinese and Japanese as well as the original languages of Korean and English. In time we hope to have subtitles made for these languages as well in an effort to be able to distribute the film for wider audiences. We currently have 2 Chinese Volunteers willing to help out with Chinese translations.  If you or anyone you know is wishing to volunteer for translations for ANY language, please contact me. (You will be credited in the end of the film)

우리 시사화가 일본어/중국어/스페인어도 나왔습니다. 마지막으로 우리 다큐멘터리는 한/영/일/중/스페인어 이는 자막을 계획합니다. 중국어 자막위해 중국 봉사단 2명 있습니다. 어느 언어에 도와줄 수 있으면 연락해주십시오.

What we need more than anything at this point,, is some Korean person willing to help the producer and I out
with logistical stuff such as making phone calls to possible interview subjects, helping us find information on 
Korea language websites, and other super important tasks. This is a person we can offer credit to as a
"producer" on the film. Anyone willing to work directly with us to get these very important yet simple tasks
done, please contact me. 

지금은 무엇 보다도 병참 도움 봉사단 필요합니다. 연구원/국가 공무원 사무실로 전화/프로젝트 설명/ 인터뷰 문이  도와 줄 수 있고 한국어 사이트에서 정보찾기 할 수 있는 사람 많이 많이 필요합니다. 이런 분은 “제작자”로 공로를 인정하겠습니다.

re-shoot because I looked too fat (haha) but just a little something fun to see how things are shaping up!

다음은 이 다큐멘터리의 일부 무작위 영상입니다. 제가 재촬영을 원했기때문에 우리는 이 영상을 사용할 수도 있고 않을 수도 있습니다. 왜냐하면 저는 너무 뚱뚱해보이기 때문인데 하지만 상황이 어떻게 돌아가는 지 볼 수 있는 약간의 재미 입니다.

   I have been cleaning marine debris as part of the Project AWARE: Dive Against Debris initiative for 4 years now. I have tried and failed over and over again to gather local interest in this issue. However all of my attempts at making videos for social media were unsuccessful. 

저는 Project AWARE (프로젝트 어웨어에) 프로젝트의 일환으로 해양쓰레기를 치우고 있습니다. Dive Against Debris initiative (쓰레기 대항한 협력기구)에서 활동한지 현재 4년이 되었습니다. 이 문제에 대해 지역적인 관심을 모으는데 있어서 실패를 여러 번 반복해 왔습니다. 그러나 저의 끊임없는 노력으로 쇼셜 미디어를 위한 비디오 제작에는 성공하였습니다.

    Now I am working with a professional producer to create a full on documentary about ocean debris in general, in particular the condition and state in S. Korea, and my personal efforts to do a small part to make an impact.  This film will be seen by hopefully millions of people at film festivals, online streaming services and DVD's. It is our hope that the film will inspire others to make changes in their own lives that will have a positive effect on the worldwide marine debris issue.

저는 특히 한국의 현재상황과, 사람들의 인식에 조금이라도 영향을 주기 위해서 저의 개인적인 노력들 그리고 해양 쓰레기에 관한 최대 분량의 다큐멘터리를 제작하기 위해 전문 프로듀서와 작업 중에 있습니다. 이 다큐멘터리가 영화 행사나 온라인 스트리밍 서비스 또는 DVD로 수많은 사람들에게 보여지기를 바랍니다. 전세계적으로 해양 쓰레기 문제에 대해 긍정적인 영향을 끼치고 그들의 삶에 변화를 일으키도록 영감을 줄 수 있기를 희망합니다

    Donated funds will be used to assist with production. In particular a composer for an original musical score, translators, animators and sound studio time for narration. Post-production costs including marketing and distribution will also be a target for donations.  We are hoping to wrap up production by the end of December of 2019.

기부금은 제작에 관련된 특히 OST 작곡자, 번역가, 영상제작자, 내레이션 녹음실 사용료 지원금으로 쓰입니다. 마케팅과 유통을 포함한 후반 작업 비용은 기부를 위한 목표가 될 것입니다. 우리는 2019년 12월말까지 마무리 짓기를 바라고 있습니다.
