A love letter to the fans of the original movies and characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill.
In 1978 John Carpenter and Debra Hill unleashed Halloween onto the world with great success. They followed it up with a sequel in 1981 and there has been many after with only 1998’s Halloween: H20 gaining any real traction. Twenty years later we’ve since suffered from two less than stellar remakes by Rob Zombie and the glimmer of hope coming in 2018 in the form of a sequel headed up by David Gordon Green and Danny McBride.
Being a huge fan of the series since I was a child I decided to write my own story based on the series. I chose to discount Halloween 4, 5, 6 and Resurrection from canon and go in a completely different direction. I did however borrow certain premises set in motion by Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers. Only I simplified the story and made creative changes that keeps The Shape’s mystery and volatility alive.
Halloween: Reflections takes place in 2018 where movie monsters such as Jason, Freddy and Chucky exist on the big screen. Michael Myers however is real, with a very real history explained via exposition offered up by our four protagonists. Who was he? What was he? Why does he do what he does?
Halloween: Reflections takes the series in a different yet familiar direction adding a modern twist with old school elements. Being dubbed a web series, it is our hope that we can take the audience on a ride of horror, suspense and intrigue further than this episode will allow.
Trick or treat Halloween fans the Boogeyman is coming, again!
