The Electoral College was designed to prevent people like Donald Trump from becoming President. (1) Hamilton Defenders is working to let electors vote their conscience.
LET’S GET THIS DONE!
There is nothing in the US Constitution or Amendment XII or any federal law that restricts how electors may vote. (2) Many legal scholars believe that the state laws and pledges that bind electors are in violation of the US Constitution and that electors must assume the responsibilities put on them by the US Constitution. Hamilton Defenders is using the Courts to challenge these laws and to match individual electors with local attorneys who can help them.
We have a huge amount of volunteer attorney support. Right now, we need funds for the filing fees for these Court challenges. Filing fees in Unted States District Court are $500 each, and process servers cost about $50 per defendant. Our goal is based on the need to file in 22 states and for some small PR and IT expenses. Your contributions make a big difference. We are filing these suits between December 6 and December 10. Please contribute and share.

At this point, funding is being raised solely for filing fees in United States District Court civil litigation that support the Constitutional rights and duties of Electors, fees for service of summons and complaint on state election individuals, and potentially a very small amount of funds for online press release and IT services.
Hamilton Defenders is a 501(c)(4) organization incorporated in Texas. All personnel including attorneys and IT support are volunteering their time. Hamilton Defenders' activities include fundraising, education, public outreach, legal research, and drafting in preparation for civil litigation. Individual attorneys representing Electors may be identified and referred to them by Hamilton Electors. Unused funds from this campaign, if any, will be for continuing Elector Constitutional law projects or contributed to a charitable organization with similar educational purposes. More information may be found at www.hamiltondefenders.org.
