Hannah's Skydive For Uganda
Donation protected
On the 7th July 2017, myself and 24 other students from Chellaston Academy will be travelling to Uganda, to take part in a 27-day project. The Uganda aid project has been running since 2006 when Chellaston Academy purchased the John Dicken’s house. For the last 10 years, a group of students have travelled over to Africa to extend and improve this home to enhance the quality of life of many children. Since then, The Mydel McQuilton Academy was purchased in 2010 - acting as an orphanage and primary school for the children of Kampala, who were previously living in slums. Whilst in Uganda, we will extend the Mydel McQuilton Academy and restore the dormitories to ensure self-sustainability for the future, as well as build a new shower block for the girls already living at the John Dickens House. We will also take part in aid work throughout our trip, which will involve handing out clothes to those living in slums, visiting the handicapped center and spend a day teaching at main street primary school.
I need to raise £2500 to be able to fund this trip. On May 7th 2017 me and my mum will be doing skydive to help raise some of the money needed for this amazing opportunity. Any donations would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Hannah and Kate
