Hannah's 21st Birthday Fundraiser
Donazione protetta
This past summer I worked with an organization in Uganda called Sustain Micro Enterprise. Their mission is to "empower vulnerable women to fight poverty" through micro financing, business skill training and mentorship. This organization is extremely important to me because it focuses on a sustainable mode of help to a population that is underserved. The money from this fundraiser will go towards building a women's center for the organization. This women's center will allow for Sustain to have a place to conduct meetings and gatherings (instead of at people's homes) ,will be a place for women to learn skills with provided materials and a place to put these skills in action through a sustainable bakery and other services. After living, working and reading about Uganda I have come to understand it is a place that desperately needs our help and guidance. I have so much in life to be grateful for that I often take a lot of my privileges for granted. When I thought about my birthday this year I realized that there isn't anything I absolutely "need" ; however, a lot of what people would give to me could make a way greater difference in the lives of the women in Uganda. It would mean so much to me if people can donate to Sustain to build this women's center because it is something that would make a huge impact on the lives of these women and their families. If you have any questions about the organization or the women's center feel free to message me. Also, if you would like to check out the website of the organization here is the link! http://www.sustainmicroenterprise.org/
