Harley lost everything, let's give him a hand

Harley Sands, who has been guiding on South Andros for 26 years, always carries a bright smile across his face and plenty of stories to infect others around him with positivity and laughter.  Yesterday wasn't one of those light laughter filled days.  

While Harley was guiding clients to bonefish on South Andros for Bair's Lodge his vehicle, home and skiff caught fire and burned to the ground.  Most importantly, his family was fine but they lost everything.  

Harley is a South Andros native and his son Travis is a sought after fishing guide at Abaco Lodge.  Harley has been a pivotal member of the Bair's Lodge guide team for over a decade.  He's guided hundreds and hundreds of anglers to bonefish and has created unforgettable memories for the clients that return to visit him, Bair's Lodge and South Andros.  

The community in South Andros is rallying around Harley but he will need financial help to get through this challenging time and rebuild his life.   

We here at Bair's Lodge are chipping in the first $5,000 to get him back on his feet.
