Harvey relief for homeless teens

Tax deductible
The Pink Giraffe House is a nonprofit drop in center and resource provider for teenagers who are living on the streets.

Hurricane Harvey was classified as an epic, catastrophic storm that wreaked havoc on thousands of lives. For teens experiencing homelessness, every night is a fight for survival. In times of national disaster, they're even more vulnerable. The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services notes that youth experiencing homelessness are more likely to have a negative reaction, be it physical or psychological, to a disaster situation than the general public. Furthermore, national disasters can dramatically increase the homelessness rate in a matter of hours -- leaving a lasting impact.

Beacuse of the storm, the number of youth coming for services is increasing fast, and therefore; we are in need of more funds. I'm afraid we will soon not have the money and the resources to help our kids if we don't act fast.

Our services include: case management, a GED program, job assistance, individual & group counseling, a host home program, mentoring, self-esteem building workshops, art classes, service referrals, and much much more.

We are sincerely grateful for any financial assistance, small or big.
