Hawayek & Baker: 2017-2018 Season
Donation protected
We are Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker, the 2014 World Junior Ice Dance Champions. We are members of Team USA and are pursuing our dream of representing the United States at the 2018 World Championships in Milan, Italy and the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
We have the skills, the drive and the dedication to make it to the Olympics and are committed to doing everything necessary to reach our full potential. Our training requires a tremendous commitment from us, our families and our coaches. It also requires tremendous financial resources to train at the level required to succeed on the international stage. Our training costs are daunting... approximately $80,000 a year.
Our training includes an entire package of coaching, choreography, ice time, strength and conditioning, ballet and ballroom dance. Our expenses also include costumes, equipment and travel. In addition to our training expenses, we both have substantial living expenses since we are living away from our homes and families.
Training at this level is a full-time commitment. We both work part-time jobs in addition to our full-time training to help off-set our expenses. But the reality is, we have to rely on the sacrifices our parents are making and the generosity of supporters like you to make our dreams possible.

Your sponsorship of our training directly impacts our success!! We are deeply grateful for your generosity.
Sincerely, Kaitlin and Jean-Luc
