So many people have reached out to us offering help.
Our family can not even begin to thank the community enough for the outpouring of love and kindness that we have been shown. Your encouraging calls, words and posts have helped to ease the sting of the pain.  Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Becki Hayes and I am the sister in law of Brian Hayes. Brian was a 47-year-old father, husband, son and brother. Brian was a quiet guy and a man of few words but he had a heart of gold. He loved his wife Tina and their daughter Caitlin tremendously. He was a kind and doting father to Caitlin and his stepdaughter Rachel. Immediately after high school Brian enlisted in the US Navy and served on the USS Eishenhowser. He was deployed in the Middle East during Operation Dessert Shield and Dessert Storm serving our country.  More recently, he has resided in Springville Pennsylvania where he lived with his family and was employed by Weis Supermarkets. Unfortunately, Brian's life was cut too short when he and two other coworkers were senselessly gunned down and killed by a coworker early yesterday morning at work before the coward  then took his own life. In this world we have to keep our eyes set on those we can love and who have a need that we can try to do our part to help with. We have to take the sensationalism, hatred and power away form those who think that destroying the lives of others will give them the attention and fame that they are so desperately craving.  Our family chooses love. There
is a sweet little 7-year-old girl that has to go to bed tonight without the warmth and strength of her Daddy holding her close. A wife will never feel the touch of her husband again and a father has to do the unspeakable and bury his own child.

This is a lesson that life as you know it can change in the blink of an eye. Take a moment to realize that life is but a moment. Be present in it. Hug your kids, kiss your spouse, go to all the kids activities and eat the cookie if you wish. Live everyday as if it was your last because you truly do not know when that will be. Each day is a gift not a given. We always think that we will have time to do things in life. I am here to say do it now. Live life to the fullest, love with your whole heart and do what your heart calls you to do. Make that move, get out of that toxic relationship, clear the air with an enemy do whatever it takes to live and love like there is no tomorrow. If and when tomorrow comes again, love harder. Let's take this time to honor Brian, Terry and Victoria. Let it impact each of our lives in it's own special way.  Be a part of making love reign over this tragedy. Let's create a ripple effect and remember Brian, Terry and Victoria for their lives and legacies through our outpouring of love. That is the true meaning of life.......love.

The expenses at this time are great. The loss of Brian’s income will be devastating for his wife and daughter.  Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. It is not the amount that is important because we know your heart is to help in any way that you can. Thank you for the support of our family. Please continue to raise our family in prayer, as well as the families of Terry Sterling and Victoria Brong. This is a devastating and tragic event for us all.
Godspeed and Rest In Peace Brian. Until we meet again oxoxo
