Hayley Lam's Debut EP Album

Hi Friends,

I am currently working on my very first EP which is something that I have been wanting to do for a very long time. Finally, I get to write something that I gravitates towards. The album is going to be titled "Being Alive", basically reflecting on my life so far, coming out from a not so decent past to giving myself a second chance to life. It has been a long and arduous journey for me and I am thankful for my mentors and friends who supported me along the way.

About me
I started music when I was just two years old, began classical training in both piano and violin and completed the diploma in performance recital from Trinity College of London when I was just eleven. At that time, I remember asking myself, 'so now what?' I have always been curious on what's going on to the other side of the music world, may be because I have a strict regime of what I am allowed to listen or not around the house. It was not until my late teens that I discovered improvisational music and soon after, I was into the  dream theatre, weather report phase....and of course that opened up my doors to many other cool stuff out there.

Then one day I decided to audition for Berklee, quit my job, packed my stuff and booked a one way ticket to the States. With huge financial constraints, battling with all kinds of administrative stuff and emotional crisis, I miraculously was able to walk the graduation ceremony after one and the half years at Berklee, earning myself a dual major bachelor degree. I felt like a war veteran.


The Album
I have been working on a few songs and some of them has already been recorded. The music is a blend of jazz, fusion, abstract contemporary improvisational music. It is going to be really epic!!! I am also really privileged to be working with very talented and world famous musicians. In order for me to get it all out there, I still need them to be professionally mixed and  mastered. AND the amazing Steve Hunt is going to be the producer for this album! 

Sneak Peaks
There will be a single release prior to the launch of the album as I am still gathering more $$ for the entire album. We are also working on music videos of some of
the songs, so stay tune for upcoming videos!

Expenditure
I will be incredibly grateful for any contributions given towards funding my EP. Anything helps, really! Thank you for entrusting me to create the best possible music that I can.

All the funds received will be going towards:
Musicians, Studio Time, Engineers, Producer, Album Art, Video/photographers, CD replication, Distribution, Licensing and Publishing
