Help Aja in her recovery

This is a fundraiser for Aja Tate so that she can get back on her feet and take care of her family after getting hit by a car  on January 19, 2019. Aja was hit by an unknown driver as she was crossing Shelby Ave at South 4th St while walking home after getting her mail. Luckily, Aja survived and was even able to walk back to her apartment with serious injuries so she could get help. Aja broke her shoulder and some ribs, and her right ear had to be sewn back on. Aja is walking some and even drove for the first time a few days ago! Because of her broken shoulder, however, she is finding it challenging to do things like cook and take care of her 3 children, one of whom is only 3 months old.

We are so grateful that Aja is alive and on the path to recovery. Unfortunately, she will not be able to go back to work for some time because of her injuries. Aja could really use some help from her community so that she can pay for rent, utilities, medications, and food until she can go back to work. Please donate whatever amount you can, so that Aja can pay her bills and take care of herself and her children while she recovers. It would mean so much to her! Many folks have already donated money, gift cards, diapers and formula for Aja's newborn, and other necessary items just through word of mouth. Thank you so much for your contributions!
