I am raising support for myself, Ben Banks, as I prepare for a faith-based mission trip to Webuye, Kenya, from September 12–26, 2026. I was invited by Pastor St. Alfred Musanda and the Holy Ghost Church of East Africa to provide addiction recovery education and coaching for individuals and families, along with training for pastors, teachers, and community leaders. This invitation means so much to me because the need is urgent. Many people are searching for hope and practical recovery support, yet too many communities still have little access to experienced guidance and helpful resources.
This mission is deeply personal to me. As the Founder and CEO of Ironside Addiction Recovery Coaching, I bring more than 25 years of international coaching and training experience, time spent working in an addiction recovery center, and my own recovery journey, including ten years of sobriety. I believe every person deserves compassionate, individualized support and the opportunity to build a healthier future. Your support will help cover travel expenses, program materials, two weeks of on-site recovery education and leadership training, an outdoor sound system for community presentations, equipment for ongoing support, and one full year of follow-up coaching and consultation through Zoom after I return home.
I am asking for your help in making this mission possible. My hope is not only to serve during those two weeks in Kenya, but also to help build lasting support that continues long after the trip ends. If this mission speaks to your heart, please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser with others. Your support can help bring encouragement, recovery education, and lasting change to people, families, and leaders who are ready for hope.
