Help Beti fight cancer

Let me tell you a story, a story full of sadness, tears, but also a tiny ray of light and hope. On 3rd December 2017 Elizabet Donkova from Shumen, Bulgaria, a 25-year-old girl, a child, began her fight with the diagnosis Hodgkin’s lymphoma. For this cancer disease the family was able to send their child to Turkey in the Memorial Hospital in Istanbul, where the professional team of medics are specialized in this kind of cancer. The family of Elizabet (Beti) payed for all of the procedures in the hospital by themselves. And what a nightmare was that – 8 chemo therapies, 3 hours for each one, and that every 2 weeks for the next 3 months. After the Chemo, Beti was under a radiation therapy as well. End of May came the good news – there was no cancer on the scanner.  The family can really allow themselves to feel happy for the first time in 6 months.

Unfortunately, the beam of hope was short lived. On 2. October – Beti`s birthday, she wasn’t smiling, she wasn’t enjoying or celebrating her one special day in the year… She went for her first control screening and the results were clear - the cancer was back and it`s spreading in the lungs. The nightmare wasn't starting again, it was just beginning. The medical experts in Turkey suggested a treatment with a lot stronger chemo and stem cell transplantation as soon as possible in the next 2-3 weeks.

For the moment Elizabet has decided to continue her fight in one of the leading clinics in Europe – in Germany or in France, which are dealing with this kind of cancer. Unfortunately, the money required for this treatment are more than unbearable for the family and Beti`s friends, who were able to financially support the girl during the first chemo therapies.

We call today on all the people with good hearts to support us with whatever they can,  in order for a wonderful young person to have a chance of life, so that she can smile again, bring us to tears with her incredible voice and warm the soul of everyone, who loves her so so much.

Unfortunately, from the Customer Support I understood that Bulgaria is one of the non-partner countries of GoFundMe, so I`m trying to raise the funds from Germany under my name. As per suggestion from the customer support the amount of the funds will be withdrawn after that in an account of my own and will be transferred outside of the platform to a Bulgarian charity account in Elizabet`s name.
