Help bring home Bob's lost guitar
Donation protected
The day after my father's [Louis Pilon] funeral, my husband Bob [Robert Pegg] lost his beloved acoustic guitar. After a long, emotionally exhausting day it was misplaced when unloading the car amidst a myriad of other things. Ironically, he had brought his guitar with him out to Abbotsford because my mom had requested a song on the playlist for the wake and it didn't make it on. The song was Time In A bottle. The night before Bob had gotten his guitar from downstairs and brought it out to the porch to play Time In A Bottle for my mom.
We want to try to replace Bob's precious guitar for him. It was quite an expensive Larrivee acoustic worth about $2000.00 so we are going to make that our goal.
This would mean a lot to Bob, and to myself and my family. He recently lost his own brother to cancer as well, and played his guitar at that memorial only a few short months ago. He also wrote a recorded a song for my dad on the guitar only days before the service. You may have heard it played if you were in attendance.
We would really appreciate any support you can muster and every penny will go towards a replacement guitar for Bob. He makes his living solely as a musician, and consequently it takes him years to afford some of the more expensive tools of his trade. If you could help by sharing the link on your Facebook timeline, or wherever else, it would be great to even help to get the word out. Any donation, no matter how small, are appreciated. This has been a very difficult time for us and we have seen how community, and family, come together in times of loss. Lets bring Bob's guitar back to him so he can continue to give the spirit-lifting music back to us!!! Thank you.
